7th bilateral strategic dialogue: Algeria – UK

ALGIERS- Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and the Arab League Abdelkader Messahel will chair the Algerian delegation at the 7th strategic bilateral dialogue on political and security issues scheduled Monday in London.

The British delegation in this strategic bilateral dialogue, which is part of the bilateral high level consultations established between Algerian the UK, will be led by the National Security Adviser Mark Lyall-Grant said Saturday, the ministry of Foreign Affairs in a communiqué.

In addition to the regional and international political and security issues of common interest, including the fight against violent extremism and terrorism, this session will examine “the regional crises in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya,” said the source.

This session will also broach the latest development of the Western Sahara issue as well as the situation in the Sahel.

On the sidelines of this meeting, Messahel will hold discussions with the UK minister of the Middle East and Africa, said the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
