As part of counterterrorism, the same source stated the Army forces recovered “272 pieces of weapons and calibres, 15897 types of ammunitions and 242 vehicles and trucks of various types.”
As for the fight against organized criminality and crime, the Army forces neutralized many smugglers, drug traffickers and nearly 3000 illegal immigrants.
The magazine stressed the results achieved by Army units in the first quarter of this year “show the extent of devotion, sacrifices and determination to free the country from the parasites that vainly attempt to pollute the ambient air our people breathe.”
“These achievements are not the result of chance. They reflect the competence of our units, their full mobilization and their love for Algeria, and the constant follow-up provided by the high command of the Army and its renewed instructions.”
The magazine hailed the recognition and consideration expressed by President of the Republic, Minister of National Defence Abdelaziz Bouteflika through the Army, in his message on the occasion of the Victory Day.
