SDX Energy Inc. announced that it had received the necessary government authorizations to launch its gas production in Morocco. In a press release, the firm indicated Monday that “gas production has started” at the KSR-21 well in Gharb, near Kenitra.
Last January, SDX reported the success of its drilling tests, carried out in the fourth quarter of 2023 in the same well. This step made it possible in particular to connect the well to the existing infrastructure, to start production there after government authorization.
SDX holds a 75% direct interest in its entire Moroccan portfolio, which includes exploration permits concessions, and gas wells. The company operates sales to eight customers, at contract prices varying
