Reference book on Algeria soon to be published in Washington

WASHINGTON-The US Think Tank Center for Transatlantic Relations is about to publish a reference book on Algeria entitled “Algeria and transatlantic relations,” the Center announced Monday.

The book, designed to show Algeria’s assets, focuses on economic and political reforms aiming at diversifying economy and strengthen democracy, and highlights Algeria’s efforts to position itself as a key player in regional security.

The book written by this US Think Tank working within the US prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Washington will be published by Brookings Institution in spring 2017, associate researcher at this Center Samy Boukaila said.

The publication of this book is supported by ETRHB Company and the Business Leaders Forum (FCE).

“This publication is a reference book on Algeria, which will allow the American administration and employees with an exhaustive understanding of the country and its aspirations,” he added.

Parallel to this publication, the American Think Thank will hold on 5-6 December in Washington an economic forum on the promotion of economic relations between the US and Mediterranean countries, which will focus on Algeria and Turkey.

President of the FCE Ali Haddad will partake in this forum during which will receive a prize for his exceptional achievements in the promotion of partnership relations between Algeria and the US.
