A Queue Filmed at Midnight in Front of an Algeria Ferries Agency in France

The shipping company Algérie Ferries cannot get rid of the scenes of chaos and long queues in front of its agencies abroad. Each summer season, reserving a simple boat ticket between Marseille and Algeria becomes a feat for Algerians in France.

The mismanagement that has reigned for several years within the Algerian public passenger maritime transport company has no end. Members of the diaspora abroad pay a high price every year, with high prices and significant stress during the booking and travel process.

“It’s midnight and these customers are waiting for the agency to open tomorrow morning”

After the late launch of reservations for the summer, the agencies of the company Algérie France in France have returned to the distressing scenes of long queues. A video filmed in front of the Lyon agency is the perfect example of the company’s chaotic situation.

For the simple reservation of a transport ticket for the trip to Algeria next summer, travelers face long queues, sometimes starting at midnight, while waiting for the agency to open the next day.

This is what we can see in this video filmed in front of the Algeria Ferries agency in Lyon. According to the author of the video published this Sunday, April 28 on TikTok, the scene was filmed at midnight.

In the images, we see dozens of travelers in front of the main entrance of the agency bearing the logo of the Algerian company. “  They are waiting for the agency to open tomorrow morning,” he says.

Algeria Ferries remains silent

Note that this is probably not just about reservations, because this process is available online. In any case, nothing can justify waiting so long at the agency to carry out simple travel procedures.

Meanwhile, the company remains silent and communicates almost nothing, apart from timetable changes in the current crossing program. Even the change in the company’s management has not been officially announced.

Last week, MPs from Algerians Abroad reported that Algeria Ferries CEO Abdelkrim Bouzaher had been dismissed and replaced by Benaouda Hellal. But to date, no official communication has been made to confirm or deny this change.
