“Specifications that will govern the used cars market are being developed. Teams are preparing these specifications and will announce conditions once they finish,” Bouchouareb said on the sidelines of the inauguration of the International Exhibition of Waste Recovery and Recycling in Algiers.
Through these specifications, the minister added, “a used car market will be created.”
In response to question if car dealers will be able to buy used cars locally to sell them, Bouchouareb said that these specifications will define these aspects.
Besides, he ruled out any return to used cars imports either for private clients or dealers.
For him, the local market has “a great potential” of used cars that must be organized and there is no need to import this kind of cars
