The Tourist Land Agency (AFT) and the Algerian National Tourist Land Agency (ANFT) signed yesterday a twinning agreement that regulates cooperation in the field of tourist development, at a time when more than 80 companies participate in the International Tourism and Travel Exhibition in Algeria.

This agreement was signed by the Minister of Tourism, Mohamed El Moez Belhassine, and his Algerian counterpart, Mokhtar Didouche, in the presence of the Director General of the AFT, Fethi Charfi, and the Director General of the ANFT, Mehnaoui Slim, as well as the delegations of the two countries.

It aims to design common scenarios to ensure the harmonious and sustainable development of tourist areas and sites in both countries, particularly in border regions.

Visiting Algeria from May 29 to 31, 2024, Mr. Belhassine inaugurated the Tunisian Pavilion set up in the 23rd edition of the International Tourism and Travel Fair in Algeria.

The Tunisian Pavilion brings together representatives of Tunisian hotels and travel agencies active in the Algerian tourist market, as well as the participation of the National Office of Thermalism and Hydrotherapy (ONTH).

On this occasion, the Tunisian minister spoke of the importance of Tunisia’s participation in this exhibition which brings together various stakeholders and actors in the tourism and travel sector from Algeria and around the world. It offers the opportunity to promote Tunisian tourism in Algeria, thus allowing professionals in the sector to conclude agreements.

He also stressed the need to ensure appropriate conditions for welcoming Algerian tourists to Tunisia during the next summer season, as well as during the winter period, at border crossings and various tourist establishments.
