Terrorist bomb attack kills 12-years-old in Algeria

A terrorist bomb attack killed a child and wounded five persons in Ahnif district, Bouira province, Kabylie region, some 70 km to the east of Algiers, on Saturday.

An improvised bomb device, apparently planted by terrorists targeted the security forces but hit when a group of innocent children were passing by, according to local security services.

The bombing killed a child, aged 12, and wounded five others nearly of the same age.

Following the incident, the Algerian gendarmerie announced the opening of an investigation, although the residents of the municipality confirmed in statements to local media that the region had been known since the 1990s for a large number of mines planted by terrorists.
