The first edition of the Street Food Festival called Algiers Street Food Festival, was launched on Wednesday, May 1 in Algiers. An event that you can still find until Saturday, May 4 on the Promenade des Sablettes, at Ecoloh Park.

For the occasion, representatives of Algerian street food and various countries have come together to help you taste different savory and sweet dishes and dishes.

The Algiers Street Food Festival is a great first in Algeria, the first of its kind, and in which local street food is perfectly showcased thanks to the presence of Algerian chefs, cooks, restaurateurs, and caterers.

You can find all kinds of food there: sweets, pastries, burgers, salads to eat on the go, cut fruits to take away, cheeses, pizza, makis, roast chicken, various fish …

According to the images published by our TikToker, many Algerian restaurateurs highlight typical products made 100% Algerian, such as Fleurial vegetable margarine and Cheezy Algeria processed cheese, among others.

Among the foreign representatives, Abas films the Indonesian stand, where six young Indonesian women present specialties specific to their country. “There are also shawarma stands,” says the TikToker.

The latter reveals that he was particularly attracted by a camel meat burger stand, a stand run by a medal-winning Algerian chef and in front of which a Dz News film crew was busy.

“Since Algeria has been opening up to tourism in recent years, it is a good idea to organize these kinds of events. It can only improve the quality of Algerian street food and attract even more tourists,” notes a commentator among the 700 interventions in the video.

This festival, which will last until Saturday, May 4, was organized by the La Fourmi agency, in collaboration with renowned brands such as Hamoud Boualem, Pril Isis by Henkel, Afia, Bimo, Palmary, and many others.
