Super Eagles’ Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier opponents, Algeria, has offered French manager, Rolland Courbis, the national team coaching job, The Eagle Online can report.
Courbis had previously coached Niger Republic and a host of French clubs, which included Bordeaux, Toulouse, Olympique de Marseille and FC Sion.
Checks revealed that Courbis is currently a sport radio talk host with RMC.
His daily show is called: “Coach Courbis.”
A source in the Algerian Football Federation hinted that the body has opted to sign on Courbis since their preferred choice, Belgian Coach Marc Wilmots, is expensive.
Our source also revealed that the new coach of the Algerian national team will be named before the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will aim at consolidating on their MatchDay One win over Zambia in Ndola when they host the unsettled Algerians at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on November 12.
