Interior Minister Kamel Feki met his Italian, Algerian, and Libyan counterparts in Rome “to discuss common cooperation on issues related to irregular immigration and border security.”

This is reported in a press release from the Ministry of the Interior of Tunis, specifying that the meeting also aimed to “unify visions and adopt a global approach to combat the phenomenon of irregular migration with the participation countries of origin, transit and destination”, and to “define broad guidelines to combat this phenomenon”.

“The meeting also constituted a space for consultation and coordination to exchange views on related issues, allowing a common vision of practical cooperation mechanisms,” the statement concluded.

In connection with this information, today at dawn, around 3 a.m., a major security device was deployed in the area of the banks of Lake Tunis, to dislodge some 800 to 1000 sub-Saharan migrants observing a sit-in in front of the buildings of UN institutions responsible for refugee problems.

Where were all these people, including women and children, transferred? Well-inspired is anyone who knows how to say it, given that the operation was not announced and took place at a time when it had little chance of being documented by journalists.
