President of the Lower House, who received a delegation of employees of the Kenyan parliament who receive a training session in Algeria, stressed that this training reflects Algeria’s respect for friendship with this country.
He recalled that Algeria and Kenya support the Sahrawi cause and paid tribute to Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta for his decision to open an embassy of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Nairobi.
For his part, the ambassador of Kenya to Algiers recalled that ties between the two countries develop constantly, stressing that both countries’ MPs play a key role in the development of political and economic relations.
He stressed that the African economic forum Algeria will host in next December will be an opportunity to broach economic issues and discuss means to promote investments and trade between African countries.
The Kenyan diplomat underscored the need for a unified African position to make Africa’s voice heard.
In this regard, he expressed gratitude to President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika for the efforts he is making to strengthen ties between the two countries and develop the African continent.
