The Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, and the founding president of the Kitea group, Amine Benkirane, signed a partnership agreement for the development of local sourcing on Friday, September 23 in Casablanca.

This partnership aims to meet the needs of the local market through a continuous process of import substitution, aimed at developing local products and promoting local manufacturing, said a joint statement.

For its part, the ministry offers its support to the Kitea group to facilitate prospecting work through contact with the various national manufacturers. The group will also benefit from the support programs set up by the ministry within the framework of the “Task Force Export”, for the promotion of exports.

After presenting the 2022-2024 development plan of the Kitea group in Morocco and Africa, the Minister of Industry visited, the same day, the new KSH platform (Kitea Smart Hub) built on an area of 45,000 m² . This logistics center will enable the group to strengthen its national network and initiate a continental expansion program. The latter required an investment of 300 million DH and allowed the creation of more than 300 direct jobs, the statement concludes.
