Abolition of the visa requirement for Tunisian tourists traveling to Japan. And this, from October 11, 2022.

“Japan announces that it will allow tourists from 68 countries, including Tunisia, to enter its territory without a visa. They can stay there for up to 90 days.” So says Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. He was speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to the Japanese Embassy in Tunisia, this visa waiver only concerns unpaid activities. Namely, tourist trips; transits; family visits; business travel; participation in conferences, amateur competitions, exams…

However, recommendations persist as to the need to bring, for the entry control, supporting documents relating to the purpose of the stay, the means of existence and the conditions of accommodation.

Note that the visa abolition also concerns two other African countries, namely Lesotho and Mauritius.

Finally, note that the obligation to go through an organized trip to Japan will also be lifted.
