Crans Montana Forum concluded here on Sunday after exchange of views on vital subjects of relevance to Africa with focus on Green plan of Morocco
Talented young decision makers from around the World were officially appointed New Leaders for Tomorrow 2017 during the Crans Montana Forum on Africa and South-South Cooperation in Dakhla. Among them were some nine Sahrawi young people from the Moroccan provinces of Dakhla and Laayoune.
Prominent Leaders attending the forum were awarded gold medals. They included King DrolorBossoAdamtey I of Ghana, Mrs. Freda AB TukiSoriacomua, Minister of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs of Solomon Islands, Mr. TautaiAgikimuaKaitu’u, Minister of Health and Medical Services of Solomon Islands, Mrs. Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade of Jamaica, Dr. Mohammad Anwar Husnoo, Minister of Health and Quality of Life of Mauritius, Mrs. Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Founder of Princess of Africa Foundation in South Africa and Mrs. YayiBayamDiouf, President of the Collectif des Femmes pour la Luttecontrel’Emigration Clandestine in Senegal. The Forum’s Gold Medal is a high-profile honorary distinction that celebrates exceptional achievements and actions toward a more Humane World.
The forum will discuss topics of interest to small Islands as developing states.
A number of heads of government and leading experts and prominent journaliststook part in the discussions of the forum.
Two major events of Crans Montana Forum were organized in 2015 and 2016 and they were extraordinary success with over 2000 participants representing more than 150 countries. Leading journalists and media managers from around the World participated in the forum.
The Crans Montana Forum was organized under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco at Dakhla to discuss vital issues concerning Africa and cooperation among developing countries.
On the first day the topic of the forum was Agriculture and food security in Africa. The subject was discussed by the panelists in the light of Green Plan for Morocco. The experts discussed the topic under various themes.
