Three decrees are about amendments to oil contracts so as to extend, by ten years each time, exploitation at acreages “Zemoul El Kbar, blocks 403a and 403b,” and acreages “Rhoude El Louh” and “Sif Fatma,” according to the Council of Ministers meeting’s statement.
Those involved are national oil and gas company Sonatrach and the firms ENI and BHP.
The fourth decree approves, for Sonatrach, the speeding of research at six acreages in the provinces of Ouargla, Djelfa, Tebessa and Laghouat, with the aim of quickly increasing the number of hydrocarbon discoveries.
The fifth decree approves amendments allowing the company DEA, which has replaced the firm RWE, to repurchase the shares of the latter in the acreages of “Reggane Nord” where it works in partnership with Sonatrach.
