The horror continues in Gaza and Israeli revenge after the Hamas attacks on Saturday, October 7, has no limits. After three weeks of intensive bombing by the Israeli army, more than 8,000 Palestinians were killed by Israel, the majority of children and women.

Many voices around the world, including that of Brazilian President Lula, have denounced genocide while Israel is more isolated than ever on the international scene. On Friday, the UN General Assembly called by a large majority for an “ immediate humanitarian truce ” in Gaza.

The resolution, the text of which was torn up by the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, was voted for by 120 countries, including France, which nevertheless gave its unconditional support to Israel. 14 countries voted against, including the United States which showed its opposition to the ceasefire in Gaza while thousands of civilians were killed in Israeli bombings.

The Palestinian enclave has become an “ open-air mass grave ”, to use the words of Rony Brauman, former president of Doctors Without Borders, who described it as a “ total catastrophe ”.

“ Gaza has become an open-air mass grave ”

From an open-air prison for 16 years due to the Israeli blockade, Gaza has become, since the start of the war, an “ open-air mass grave ”, denounced Dr. Brauman on Saturday on BFMTV.

Doctors of the World, another NGO that is present in Gaza, reported scenes of horror in the hospitals of the Palestinian enclave which lack everything, to the point that children injured in Israeli bombings are “amputated without anesthesia ”. Videos are circulating on the networks showing doctors operating on children without anesthesia.

“ We know that there are tons of medicines positioned at the border in Rafah. But the aid is trickling in. People will die from treatable diseases. Hospitals are performing amputations on children without anesthesia,” testified on LCI, Helena Ranchal, the director of international operations for Médecins du Monde, who called for a “ ceasefire ” and the protection of rescue workers. , caregivers, and humanitarian workers.

In its war against Gaza, the Israeli army is not content with dropping its bombs on civilians. It decided to impose a total blockade on the Palestinian enclave, depriving more than 2.2 million people of medicine, food and electricity. On Friday, Israel even cut off communications and the Internet, making it impossible for rescuers and humanitarians to work on-site.
