Turkey and Libya Sign Education Cooperation Agreement

Turkey and Libya signed an education cooperation agreement on Friday on the sidelines of the third Turkey-Africa Partnership summit in Istanbul.

The Anadolu Agency reported that Turkish Education Minister Mahmut Ozer has signed with his Libyan counterpart Musa El-Magrif a cooperation agreement between the two countries in the field of education.

In his intervention at the signing ceremony, Ozer said that relations between Turkey and Libya are deep-rooted and date back over 500 years.

He explained that relations between the two countries are experiencing a real boom at all levels, especially in the field of education.

The Turkish Minister of Education stressed the importance of allowing the Libyan side to benefit from the Turkish experience in the field of technical and vocational education.

For his part, El-Magrif pointed out that Turkey is supporting Libya’s stability, stressing his country’s desire to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Ankara in various fields.

Istanbul is hosting the third Turkey-Africa Partnership summit from December 16-18.
