Algerian humor shines at the Festival Algéire and Mon Premier Montreux. Stunning opening gala, with promising talents in the final. Laugh together to live better! 

Two events are currently putting Algerian humor at the top of the bill: the Algérire Festival, which this week brings together a very large audience at the Palais de la Culture in Algiers, and soon the Finale of the large casting Mon Premier Montreux by Rouiba, organized on May 31 at the National Theater of Algiers.

Algeria succeeds again in its bet

Emotions and laughter are guaranteed on Wednesday, April 30, 2024, in the splendid setting of the Palais de la Culture, on the heights of Algiers, for the opening gala of the 2024 edition of the Algiers Festival, under the leadership of the comedian Farid Chamekh, master of ceremonies of the Djamel Comedy Club in Paris since 2021, and who brought together a host of Algerian and French artists of great talent, representative of all the richness of current humor, from Abdelkader Secteur to Ilyes Djadel in including Reda Seddiki, Mahé, Félix Dhjan, Kamel Abdat, Ayoub Marceau, Malik Belkhodja… among other masters of humor. The next few days will see a succession of galas and one-man shows to the delight of Algerian spectators.

Hats off to the organizers of Brushing Brushing Events manage, year after year, to put Algiers at the heart of the Mediterranean map of humor and bring together artists who all have both talent and heart, in front of an enthusiastic audience that nothing discouraged this year, neither the cold nor the rain, which miraculously stopped a few minutes before the start of the opening gala, allowing the luminous and spiritual magic to be released under a starry sky, on a stage behind which stars twinkled.

Upcoming final of Mon Premier Montreux by Rouiba

Another date to remember is that of the Finale on May 31 of the Mon Premier Montreux by Rouiba casting, a first for the 2023-2024 season. Throughout August and September 2023, selections took place in Algiers, Oran, and Constantine, which saw the participation of more than a hundred young comedy talents from the four corners of the country. Among them, the jury selected those whose performances were the most promising and the most accomplished. It is after this long journey that Fares Barket, Adam Kassouri, Yacine Bendaoud, Samy Gougam, Merihene, and Inès will have a chance to secure their place on the Algerian comedy scene during this grand final after a final week of coaching provided here too
