Al Karama Holding, the company responsible for managing the confiscated companies, published, on September 27, 2022, a notice of call for expressions of interest to sell the 13.28% stake of the Tunisian State in the capital of Mosaïque FM, the first radio in terms of the audience in Tunisia.

The direct sale of public shares representing 13.28% of the capital of Med Telecom, a limited liability company created in 2003. Its capital amounts to 3,633,700 Tunisian dinars (DT), divided into 36,337 shares. The main purpose of the company is the production and distribution of audiovisual services related to the media, as well as the operation of the Mosaïque FM radio license.

This call is open to investors of Tunisian or foreign nationality who wish to participate in this process. Interested investors may be a natural or legal person acting alone or a directed consortium. They are requested to collect the pre-qualification file, which specifies the pre-qualification process and criteria, at the headquarters of Al Karama Holding (Rue du Lac d’Annecy, Passage du Lac Malawi, Les Berges du Lac, 1053 Tunis).

However, one question remains: why has the State decided today to sell its shares in Mosaïque FM, eleven years after their confiscation from Belhassen Trabelsi, the brother-in-law of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali? ? Does his financial difficulties push him to scrape cash funds and sell “family jewels”?
