Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Brey arrived in Algiers on Tuesday for an official visit to boost the bilateral relations.

 

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy Brey arrived in Algiers on Tuesday for an official visit to boost the bilateral relations.

Upon his arrival at the International Airport of Algiers, the Spanish Prime Minister was welcomed by his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Ouyahia.

While in Algiers, Rajoy is due to co-chair with Ouyahia the seventh Algerian-Spanish High-Level Bilateral Meeting.

The two countries will identify ways and means to further develop their economic cooperation.

On the sidelines of this high-level intergovernmental meeting, Algerian and Spanish businessmen will also hold a forum in Algiers.

In 2017, Spain became the third largest importer of Algerian goods with total imports of 4.1 billion U.S. dollars, and the fifth largest exporter with exports worth 3.1 billion dollars.
