ALGIERS- Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra received Wednesday, in Algiers, head of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries, Pier Antonio Panzeri.
“We had discussions on the ties between the European Union and Algeria and we agreed that it is necessary to have cooperation between the two sides,” said Panzeri following his talks with Lamamra.
He added that they broached the foreign policy of Algeria and the European Union, the fight against terrorism and the ties (of EU) with the Mediterranean’s southern countries.
“We agreed on a greater cooperation between EU’s governments and Algeria and also at the parliamentary level, because we believe that the inter-parliamentary relations are very important,” he underlined.
