The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Sunday.
According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, following the presentation given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, concerning the visit of the President of the Republic to Qatar and Kuwait. The Head of State welcomed, in this sense, “the exceptional level of bilateral relations with these two brotherly countries which continue to express their desire to promote bilateral cooperation at the highest level”.
President Tebboune instructed, “the Government to set up a commission for the preparation and daily monitoring of large-scale investment projects with partners in Qatar and Kuwait, brotherly countries, within the framework of large joint commissions in the sectors industry, agriculture, tourism, transport, and housing”.
Launch studies to extend the rail network from the North to the Great South
He ordered the Minister of Transport to immediately launch technical studies to extend and widen the rail network from the north to the great south, between Algiers-Tamanrasset-Adrar, in accordance with the President’s electoral program of the Republic.
President Tebboune also ordered the Minister of Housing to immediately launch technical studies through design and planning offices with the aim of starting work to rehabilitate the maritime facade of Algiers. and modernization of the urban fabric of the wilayas of Skikda, Annaba, Constantine, and Oran.
In addition, the Head of State instructed the Minister of Agriculture to bring together the best conditions for the realization of promising investment projects, generators of wealth, and jobs in several sectors, including dairy production, meat reds, oils, and sugar.
Construction of a modern hospital with a partnership between Algeria, Qatar, and Germany
The President also instructed the Minister of Labor to seek a favorable formula to respond to the concerns of our Algerian community abroad regarding their access to retirement, and this, within the framework of the execution of the commitments of the President of the Republic towards the Algerian community met in Tunisia, Egypt, Qatar, and Kuwait.
The President of the Republic also insisted on the preparations for the construction of a modern hospital with a partnership between Algeria, Qatar, and Germany, in addition to other projects in the port sector, in particular the extension of the port of Djendjen (Jijel).
Welcoming the progress made in the preparations for the Mediterranean Games, the President of the Republic called for the intensification of efforts to involve local civil society in Oran and its surroundings in the various artistic specialties, and to prepare it to guarantee the success of this sporting event and highlight the image of Algeria and its tourist assets, according to the same source.
