Tunisia: The Turkish Embassy in Tunis celebrates the proclamation of the Republic of Türkiye (AA)

The Embassy of Türkiye in Tunisia organized a ceremony on Friday to celebrate the commemoration of the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, in the presence of senior officials and ambassadors from foreign countries, as well as politicians and ministers Tunisians.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Tunisia, Natasha Franceschi, and the Tunisian Minister of the Economy, Samir Saïed, discussed several current topics during a meeting announced for Saturday, October 29, 2022, by the United States Embassy.

The American diplomatic representation specified that the two parties had discussed the file of the agreement between Tunisia and the International Monetary Fund as well as the donation of sixty million dollars granted by the United States to Tunisia to support the Tunisian people in the face of economic difficulties.

The IMF had approved, on October 15, a 48-month extended agreement with Tunisia for an amount of 1.9 billion dollars.

They also mentioned USAID programs aimed at promoting economic and employment opportunities in Tunisia.
