Council of Ministers approves bill on Customs Code

The amendments proposed in the bill will further facilitate non-hydrocarbon exports, according to the Council of Ministers meeting’s statement.

“They will also strengthen Algerian Customs control and fight against smuggling and fraud, by developing exchange of information and access to data among administrations and other public services involved in the fight against fraud and illegal financial and commercial dealings.”

The bill introduces “provisions making easier Customs control and reinforces the avenues of appeal for economic agents.”
