Belgium: Heavy Sentences for Two Dangerous Criminals Who Would Be in Morocco

Suspected of drug trafficking from Morocco, kidnapping and sequestration of a Belgian in Spain, Hamza Akarkach and Aziz Mozoune, two dangerous criminals, actively sought by the Belgian federal police, received heavy sentences on Thursday before the criminal court of Brussels.

The Brussels Criminal Court sentenced Hamza Akarkach and Aziz Mozoune to 12-year prison terms, with immediate arrest, reports Belga. The two defendants belong to a criminal organization active in the international transport of narcotics from Morocco to Europe and Belgium. They were found guilty of having, in April 2019, kidnapped, kidnapped, and tortured one of their own for several days in a villa in Marbella, on the Costa del Sol in Spain.

In addition to these two dangerous criminals, three other defendants, Abdelwaheb S., Lionel K., and Thomas S. were also sentenced to ten years in prison, while others, Mohamed M., Aissam A., Anaïs BV, and a defendant failing to do so were sentenced to eight years in prison. Two defendants were sentenced to six years in prison and two others were sentenced to five years in prison. As for the last, he was sentenced for having violated the ban on being a company manager, pronounced in the context of a trial for vast social fraud, but was acquitted for the acts of a criminal organization, sale, transportation, possession, and distribution of drugs.
