Algerian-South Korean cooperation prospects in digital economy

ALGIERS- The deputy minister for Digital Economy and Financial Systems Modernization, Mouatassem Boudiaf, met Tuesday in Seoul, South Korea’s deputy minister for Strategy and Finance, In-chang Song.

Discussions between the two officials, held on the sidelines of the fifth South Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation Ministerial Conference (KOAFEC), focused on digital economy, financial systems and the prospects for cooperation in those fields, a ministry’s statement said.

The KOAFEC, to be held from 24 to 27 October in Seoul, is an organized by South-Korean ministry of Strategy and Finance.

The event this year will evolve around “transformation of African agriculture through par industrialization and exclusive financing.”

The biennial conference, instituted in 2006, will be an opportunity to discuss economic development and cooperation, sharing of experiments and the promotion of cooperation in developing resources between this Asian country and Africa.
