ALGERIA: 3 FORMER PRIME MINISTERS SENTENCED IN THE FASSIH CASE

On Monday, January 4, the court in Sidi Mohamed in Algeria delivered its verdict in the case of businessman Mohamed Ben Fassih, involving 3 former Algerian ministers Abdelghani Zaâlane, Ahmed Ouyahia and Amar Ghoul.

Former Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia was sentenced to 7 years in prison with a fine of one million dinars by the court in Sidi Mohamed, in the Fassih case of corruption in the tourism sector in Skikda.

The two former ministers Abdelghani Zaâlane and Ammar Ghoul were sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of one million dinars.

Two former walis of Skikda Fawzi Ben Hocine and Mohamed Bouderbali, were sentenced to 5 years in prison.
