52nd anniversary of Palestinian Revolution: Call for continuing struggle, unifying ranks

ALGIERS- The commemoration, on Thursday, of the 52nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Palestinian Revolution has been an opportunity to stress the importance of continuing the struggle until the fulfilment of the national objectives, by using all the possible options to end the Israeli occupation.

At a ceremony organized at the Moufdi-Zakaria Culture Palace (Algiers) by the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah- Algeria), in commemoration of the 52nd anniversary of the Palestinian revolution (1st January 1965), the movement secretary Abdellatif Badir, said that this commemoration confirms the need for continuing the struggle until “the achievement of the Palestinian national aspirations and goals.”

“The movement is determined to use all the possible options to end the Israeli occupation policy of settlement and confer the full member status for Palestine state.”

The representative of the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Mohamed Salah said that the commemoration of the outbreak of the Palestinian Revolution is an “important stage” in the revolutionary process, calling for the unification of the Palestinian ranks.

Ambassador of Palestine State to Algiers, Louai Aissa has evoked in his speech the division and its repercussions on the Palestinian cause, urging the Palestinians to unite and mobilize around a single objective and the organization of elections in the shortest possible time while remaining attached to the PLO achievements.

The ambassador highlighted the solidarity of the Algerian people and government with the Palestinian cause, underlining that Algeria will remain a reference for the Palestinian people’s fight.
