Venezuela’s Maduro Visits Algeria to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Both Venezuela and Algeria have several strategic agreements in the fields of energy, politics,ย communication, education, culture, commerce, and industry.

Venezuelan Presidentย Nicolas Maduro arrived in Algeria Sunday to strengthen the diplomatic ties between the two countries, as part of his trip to Turkey for the inauguration of Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.

Both Venezuela and Algeria have several strategic agreements in the fields of energy, politics,ย communication, education, culture, commerce, and industry.

Maduroย was received by the president of the National People’s Assembly of Algeria Said Bouhadja, after which they held a meetingย “to strengthen ties of cooperation between the two nations,” the official statement noted.

“We made a stop in Algeria; I held an important meeting with Said Bouhadja, president of the National People’s Assembly of Algeria, to strengthen ties of cooperation based on respect and common development of our peoples.”
“The meeting with the African country aims to develop the bonds of brotherhood that are with the Algerian people, and relations based on respect, common development, for the benefit of their peoples.”

The official entourage consisted of Cilia Flores, the vice president for Communication, Jorge Rodriguez, Culture and Tourism, and Jorge Mรกrquez Monsalvee, the Minister of the Office of the Presidency and Monitoring of Government Management, among other officials.
