A turning point in the conflict between Iran and Israel is looming. The Islamic Republic of Iran launched, this Saturday evening, April 13, 2024, from its territory, a drone attack against Israel, declared the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, in a speech on television.
In Iran, state media have confirmed a drone attack in progress against the Jewish state. Israel has closed its airspace. The Islamic Republic of Iran recently promised to “punish” the Jewish state after a deadly strike on April 1 at its consulate in Damascus, Syria.
“We are monitoring the threat in the airspace. This is a threat that will take several hours to reach the territory of the State of Israel. We are working closely with the United States and our partners in the region to counter and intercept [drone] launches,” Hagar said.
In a statement, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed the missile and drone attack targeting Israeli territory.
