Tunisia and Germany Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in the Military Field

Tunisian Defense Minister Imed Memmich received German Ambassador to Tunisia Peter Bruegel on Monday at the ministry’s headquarters to discuss bilateral cooperation in the military field.

In a statement seen by Anadolu Agency, the Department of Defense said that the cooperation between the two countries has reached higher levels in various fields, which is an example to be followed with other brotherly and friendly countries.

Memmich expressed his desire to see the Tunisia-Germany relationship develop further in areas of common interest, in particular, border security, training and the exchange of expertise.

For his part, the representative of German diplomacy hailed the level reached by German-Tunisian cooperation relations in the military field, reiterating his country’s desire to continue to support and develop the capacities of Tunisia’s military institution, reported the same source.
