The national airline Tassili Airlines will launch the electronic payment service via the new “Iata pay” system for all international flights from January 2023.

This was announced by the general manager of Tassili Airlines, Abdessamed Ourihane, during a hearing session before the transport and telecommunications committee at the APN, devoted to the reality and the services of the company devoted to reality and to company’s services.

Mr. Ourihane pointed out that the new electronic payment system developed with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), will be launched from January 2023 for all international flights, reports an APN press release taken up by APS.

Tassili Airlines has a fleet of 15 aircraft with an overall capacity of 1,529 seats, specializing in charter transportation, according to the briefing.

The company operates a network of routes 80% dedicated to the Sonatrach group and its subsidiaries, in addition to offering irregular transport services for energy workers, as well as air services according to demand, it was reported. added.     

The company operates 24 regular domestic services connecting 15 cities, and five regular international services from Algiers, Constantine, and Oran to three destinations in France, said the same source.

During this presentation, the policy adopted by the company in terms of digitization was presented. This policy aims to adapt to the challenges of developing information systems used in the air transport sector for the benefit of travelers, by bringing together all the means and digital infrastructures, such as the electronic reservation system via the company’s website, the electronic payment system on national territory for all domestic and international flights using the Edhahabia card and the interbank card (CIB), the electronic registration system and the remote withdrawal of the boarding pass inside or outside the national territory, explained the press release.
