Russia-Africa Summit: The Manufacturer Avtovaz Displays Its Ambitions to Assemble in Algeria

The giant Russian manufacturer AvtoVAZ, displays its ambitions to assemble cars in the Maghreb countries including Algeria, where negotiations are underway.

In an interview given to the media Sputnik, the boss of the Russian group AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov mentioned the holding of negotiations for the export of vehicles to certain African markets, as well as an assembly project in Algeria. The manager explains that his former shareholder Renault was not interested in expanding Lada’s exports to the African market.

Among the many African markets cited during the Russia-Africa summit held in St. Petersburg, Algeria is strongly cited as announced by Maxim Sokolov.
