The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, Brahim Merad, revealed Thursday in Ouled Djellal that nearly 900 investment projects entered the production phase in a single year across the country.
During the inspection of the activity of a private slaughterhouse in the commune of Doucen (20 km north of the capital of the wilaya), the minister stressed that the policy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, relating to the treatment of all the obstacles blocking investment projects for years in small, medium and large companies, has “allowed, in a short time, this number of projects to enter into activity and to generate more than 250,000 jobs”.
Mr. Merad noted that one of the main lines of this new policy consists in this area of reassuring investors to generate wealth and promote economic dynamics.
Responding to the concerns of an investor in a milk production unit in the same municipality relating to the increase in production capacity for this product, the minister recalled that the government had taken the decision to increase the supply of milk to meet national demand, specifying that this unit, which is the only dairy in the wilaya, will be supplied with milk powder.
During the inspection of the project for the construction of 200 subsidized promotional housing units in the urban expansion zone of Ouled Djellal, the minister insisted on the imperative increase in the pace of work and working hours to complete the projects programmed in the deadlines set.
Mr. Merad inaugurated a private unit of plaster in the capital of the wilaya which produces 126,000 tons per year and employs 32 workers within the framework of the respect of the standards friendly to the environment, according to the explanations given on the spot.
He will have to preside over the commissioning of a water tower in the Chergui city in the municipality of Sidi Khaled and inspect a project of a work of art there before holding a meeting with the representatives of the associative movement at the institute. specialized national vocational training center in Ouled Djellal.
