In Morocco, decisions were taken this Thursday, February 4, 2021, which directly concern Princess Lalla Salma. It remains to be seen whether the former First Lady of the Shereefian kingdom is kept informed of these new developments.

During its ordinary session in February, held this Thursday, February 4, 2021 and devoted to the examination and adoption of several draft partnership agreements in several areas, in particular health, the municipal council of Meknes dealt with several questions, some of which are directly related to Princess Lalla Salma, ex-wife of King Mohammed VI.

The members of the board have, in fact, examined an agreement relating to the creation of an operating theater and treatment with laser rays and a surgical unit for women’s cancers, signed between the Lalla Salma-Prévention Foundation and Treatment of cancers, on the one hand, and the prefectural council of Meknes, the Municipality of Meknes, the district of Mechouar Stiniya and the prefectural delegation of health, on the other hand, indicates the Mapfes newspaper.

Decision to create this operating room which could have been done without the principal concerned, Princess Lalla Salma, who had created this foundation which bears her name in 2006. In the sense that the princess has been missing for more than two years. However, in mid-October 2019, Bladi announced that Princess Lalla Salma would prepare to take up the torch of the Lalla Salma Foundation for the fight against cancer, headquartered in Rabat.

As it took over the Al Ayam website, the newspaper revealed that the princess was planning, “in the coming days”, to inaugurate the largest Oncology Center in the southern region of Morocco. The construction of the center having been launched in 2016. However, this announcement of return to business came six months after an inspection visit of the various pavilions of the Oncology Center of Beni Mellal, by the princess, and who had been carried out in the presence of health officials from the region, on April 10, 2019.

Since that date, no news from the princess, who, let us remember, in 2006 set up the Lalla Salma Association for the fight against cancer (ALSC), of which she is the executive president. Is Prince Moulay El Hassan’s mother imbued with the new negotiations in which her foundation is involved? The question remains unresolved.
