Morocco has decided to suspend flights to and from Turkey, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands from Monday February 22, according to announcements made to various diplomatic and air sources.
This decision is part of the fight against the spread of the coronavirus.
It comes into force on Monday February 22 at midnight, for a period of 15 days.
The Moroccan concern is justified by the increase in the number of cases caused by the new variants.
So far, Morocco has detected “only” 24 cases caused by the English variant. The fear would be to see an increase in contamination by a new variant whose speed of propagation is markedly greater than that of the current virus. Moroccan medical sources contacted by Médias24 believe that the progress of the vaccination campaign, which has not yet covered all vulnerable populations, warrants the greatest caution.
