FIFA President Gianni Infantino simply ignored the invitation extended to him by Algerian Football Federation (FAF) boss Kheireddin Zetchi to visit Algeria. Infantino, instead, scheduled a visit to neighboring Morocco in order to meet in particular the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, reports the daily Assabah on Monday, February 22.
Infantino is expected to land in Morocco on Wednesday with the aim of discussing the development of African football with Lekjaa. The Algerian press, for its part, fired red bullets on Zetchi, accused of having sold wind to the Algerian authorities and public opinion, after having announced to them the arrival of Gianni Infantino, while the latter did in reality scheduled no visits to the country.
