At least two people died and five others were seriously injured on Thursday when a building collapsed in an industrial area near Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital, Moroccan news agency MAP reported.

“Two people were killed and five others seriously injured in the partial collapse, Thursday at dawn, of the building of a textile company” in an industrial zone near Casablanca, local authorities told MAP.
The rescue operation continued in the evening to rescue three people still buried under the rubble, according to the same source.
An investigation was opened to determine the causes of the collapse, while the injured were transported to a hospital “to receive the necessary treatment”.
