Moroccan Member of the Parliament Shot Dead Near His Residence

Casablanca – A Moroccan Member of Parliament representing the Constitutional Union (UC) has been shot to death with a riffle in front of his residence in Casablanca.

 In a shocking incident for Morocco, Abdellatif Merdass, a Member of the Parliament for the Constitutional Union, was shot dead in the entrance of his residence in the district of California in Morocco’s economic capital, Casablanca.

According to Arabic-language news source, Alyaoum24, an unidentified person knocked on the door of the politician’s villa and when the latter opened the door, the person shot him with several bullets and killed him on the spot.

Police are taping off the house of the victim, but the details of the crime have not been revealed nor have its motivations been determined.
