“Throughout its tenure on the Security Council, Tunisia has not stopped ‘defending the Palestinian cause and urging the international community to relaunch the peace process so as to guarantee the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establishment of its state with East Jerusalem as its capital”, he recalled during his speech relayed by the official agency, Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP).
“Implementing an urgent action plan to save the city of Jerusalem and prevent attempts to Judaize this city was on the menu of the meeting,” noted the same source.
During this meeting, the Foreign Ministers also reviewed the results of the work drawn up by the Commission since its second meeting in September 2021. They thus “reported on the measures launched at international level to ensure the non-repetition Israeli aggression, to end hostilities and to preserve the historic and demographic status of the city of Jerusalem,” TAP reported.
