ICT Competition 2024: Algeria Wins the Grand Prix in Tunisia

Since its creation in 2016, the Huawei ITC competition has increasingly established itself as one of the largest events in the information technology and competition sector. This major competition aims to train future leaders in this field.

The new edition of this competition saw the participation of 30 teams from 9 countries around the world. On Friday, March 8, 2024, the awards ceremony took place in Gammarth, Tunisia, after several weeks of discussions and participation.

ICT Competition 2024: Algerian teams win first prize

On this occasion, numerous distinctions were awarded to several students from Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Ethiopia and Senegal. The Algerian teams, that took part in this competition, proudly represented their country and distinguished themselves during this event.

Indeed, the Grand Prize was awarded to Egypt and Algeria, rewarding the most brilliant projects of the participating students. Consequently, three out of four Algerian teams distinguished themselves during the regional competition organized in Tunisia.

Thus, the Networck team, but also Computing, both won the Grand Prize of the ICT Competition 2024. While the Algerian Cloud team managed to win the first prize in this category. Even more, the stakes are crucial for these winning students who will participate in the final, which will be organized in China in a few months.

9 Algerian teams in the world final in China

This success will allow nine Algerian teams to represent the country at the final phase of this competition, in China, and to compete for one of the prizes that will be awarded in numerous specialties such as artificial intelligence, 5G technology, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain.

This competition will strengthen and develop the skills of these students in the fields of information and communication technologies. This will help prepare a new generation capable of being at the cutting edge of technology.
