The national police services arrested 15 women in a Hammam in the wilaya of Tebessa.

According to statements by the national police, these women were grouped together in a Hammam and were preparing a wedding party despite calls for compliance with preventive measures and the strong spread of the COVID-19 virus.

This arrest comes following the government’s decision to close HHammams and public showers as part of the fight against the pandemic.

To this end, legal proceedings were launched against the offenders, with the immediate closure of the hammam, the owner of which is a 50-year-old woman. The letter dared to transgress the decisions of the state by opening her hammam for the benefit of this group of women.

Closure of places favoring the spread of the virus

It should be remembered that the Algerian authorities have announced for a few weeks the closure of recreational areas of leisure and relaxation, cultural centers, sports halls as well as amusement parks.

For example, the promenade des Sablettes has been closed since July 25 due to the sharp increase in cases of contamination.

Recently, the beaches and sales markets for used vehicles are also prohibited in the wilayas concerned by the partial confinement of 20 ha 6 h. Added to this is the limitation to take-out in cafes, restaurants, fast-food restaurants, and ice cream shops. Finally, citizens are called upon to respect these measures and decisions in the hope of seeing the number of contaminations decreases.
