The winter program of sea crossings between France and Algeria, authorized since the beginning of November, ends this Sunday, May 1. No new announcement has been made regarding the continuation of the program.

At Algérie Ferries as at Corsica Linea, reservations for the summer have not yet started. But there are signs that the crossings will be reinforced. There are in particular the declarations of President Tebboune, last Sunday, in the Council of Ministers. The Head of State asked for a drop in prices at Air Algérie and Algérie Ferries in anticipation of the summer season.

For its part, Corsica Linea, which operates a weekly crossing between Marseille and Algiers, unveiled, on April 25,  the list of its partner travel agencies in Algeria. From now on, “travelers will have the possibility of reserving and/or modifying their tickets” at the level of the Corisca Linea partner agencies distributed across several wilayas of the country, it is indicated.

In the meantime, Corsica Linea seems to have decided to strengthen its capacities towards Algeria in May. Indeed, for more than a month, Le Méditerranée, a Corisca Linea ferry docked in Marseille, has been welcoming 750 Ukrainian refugees. However, the ship will have to set sail again for Algeria from June 12, reports this Saturday, April 30, BFMTV.

However, the stay of these refugees, having fled the war, will have to send in the coming days.

Since the resumption of maritime services to Algeria, Corsica Linea has been operating its crossings aboard the Danielle Casanova or the Jean Nicoli. The Mediterranée is the largest ship in the Corisca Linea fleet, with a capacity of 2,800 passengers compared to 1,800 for the Badji Mokhtar 3 of Algérie Ferries.
