ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has designated him the speaker of the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament), Abdelkader Bensalah, to represent him at the high-level meeting to be held Tuesday, on the sidelines of United Nations Climate Change ConferenceCOP22, in Marrakech, Morocco, the presidency of the Republic said Sunday in a statement.
“At the invitation he received from the King of Morocco, His Excellency Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the president of the Republic, has designated Abdelkader Bensalah, the speaker of the Council of the Nation, to represent him at a high-level meeting to be held on 15 November 2016, on the sidelines of the international conference of the parties (COP22), Marrakech.”
The speaker of the Upper House will be accompanied by Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra, the statement added.
