The “visit will be an opportunity to examine relations between the two countries, which are excellent. You know the strength of relations between the two countries, so it is a gesture of friendship and fraternity,” Sellal told reporters upon his arrival in Jose Marti international airport.
Prime Minister said that he felt at home in Cuba, adding that relations between the two countries would be further strengthened.
Sellal also said he carried a “message of friendship and fraternity” from President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika to Presidents Raul and Fidel Castro.
“I’d like, on behalf of President Bouteflika and the Algerian people, to greet our Cuban sisters and brothers,” he said, adding that he was in Cuba at the invitation of the highest authorities of the country.
The prime minister is accompanied by Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra and Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf.
