ALGIERS – Algerian M’rah Mohamed Djamel Eddine Aboubakr has been selected by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) among 17 winners of a world citizen study on the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UNDP said.

M’rah and 16 his fellow winners, from 15 countries, were chosen among hundreds of people who have posted videos about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The Algerian winner, who made a video on the 4th SGG on quality education, will travel, with the winners to China to meet with the first UNDP animal ambassadors: “two adorable little pandas named Qiqi and Diandian,” the same source added.

The world objectives are “ambitious programme designed to alleviate poverty and address the most urgent challenges by 2030. The 17 winning videos were deemed the most creative.”
