Air Algérie Flies to Two New Destinations in Africa

The airline Air Algérie will operate flights to two new destinations in Africa: Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and Douala in Cameroon. The announcement was made on September 21 by the company’s general manager.

Algiers will now be connected to Addis Ababa and Douala from Houari Boumédiène International Airport, reports the online newspaper TSA.

The information was revealed by the general director of Air Algérie, Yassine Benslimane, during a ceremony in the Algerian capital.

He said that in the application of Air Algérie ‘s new strategy, the company would connect Algiers to East Africa for the first time.

23 flights per week in Africa

More particularly, Yassine Benslimane informed of the sale of tickets for flights between Algiers and Addis Ababa at a price of 91,000 Algerian dinars (approximately 660 dollars). The connection will be provided twice a week (Monday and Friday).

In addition, Air Algérie will fly three times a week (Sunday, Monday, and Thursday) to Douala in Cameroon for 47,000 dinars (about $340).

Air Algérie planes already serve Burkina Faso (Ouagadougou), Ivory Coast (Abidjan), Egypt (Cairo), Mali (Bamako), Morocco (Casablanca), Mauritania (Nouakchott), Niger (Niamey), Senegal (Dakar) and Tunisia (Tunis).
