The death toll from the Zionist genocidal aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 21,978 martyrs since October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said Monday.
This toll includes 156 Palestinians martyred in the last 24 hours, said the same source, which also reported 57,697 people injured since October 7.
Since October 7, the Zionist army has been carrying out a devastating aggression against the Palestinian enclave, which has led to massive destruction of infrastructure in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to Palestinian authorities and UN sources.
Arrival of childhood vaccines
Palestinian Health Minister Mai Al-Kaila announced on Monday that vaccines for children had started entering Gaza, via the Rafah border crossing, for the first time since the start of the Zionist aggression on the 7th. last October.
Al-Kaila said in a statement that “vaccines purchased by the Palestinian government, in addition to those offered by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), have started entering the Gaza Strip.” โThis comes in light of the critical epidemiological situationโ caused by the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, adds the same source.
The shipment entered into Ghaza includes vaccines against polio, measles, rubella, mumps, and other routine vaccines for children, and is sufficient for a period ranging from 8 to 14 months. This is the first delivery of vaccines to the Gaza Strip since October 7, according to the ministry’s press release.
4,910 Palestinians arrested in occupied West Bank
No fewer than 4,910 Palestinians have been arrested by Zionist occupying forces in the West Bank since October 7, the Commission for Prisoners and Former Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said Monday.
The two organizations stressed in a joint statement that the Zionist occupation forces โarrested 32 citizens at dawn on Monday, which brings the number of Palestinians arrested in the occupied West Bank, including El-Quds, since October 7 last at 4,910โ.
According to the statement, today’s arrests were concentrated in the town of Qatana, in the governorate of El Quds, where 12 citizens were arrested, while the rest of the arrests were distributed in the governorates of Tulkarem and Nablus (North), Ramallah (Center), El Khalil and Bethlehem (South), as well as the city of El Quds-East. This count does not include arrests made by the Zionist occupation forces inside the Gaza Strip, according to the same source.
Since the start of the Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip on October 7, the Zionist army has intensified its military operations in the occupied West Bank and increased the pace of incursions and raids into towns and Palestinian refugee camps.
