Turkish agency distributes food items in Algeria

A Turkish state-run aid agency distributed food items to 840 low-income families in Algeria, the agency announced on Monday.

The food aid were distributed in Algiers, Blida, Medea, Bejaia cities of the country, according to the statement by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

According to a separate statement, TIKA also provided fast-breaking dinner late Sunday in a century-old mosque in Kyrgyzstan.

Besides the Ramadan food item distribution and iftar programs, the statement said, health-related training was also provided in Macedonia.

Operating with 60 offices in 58 countries, TIKA endeavors in various areas of humanitarian, developmental and social fields.
